Gooey Brownie Pecan Pie

Kids wanted Brownies...I wanted Pecan Pie.  I made a Gooey Brownie Pecan Pie Without A Crust!  (Boys named the pie ;D)

Brownie Pecan Pie


Family Size Brownie Mix

Pecan Pie Topping

2/3 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecans, 1/2 cup chopped...1/2 cup halves
pince of salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Fix Brownie Mix according to directions.  Pour into a greased 9 inch pie plate.

Mix all ingredients for Pecan Pie topping.  Pour on top of Brownie layer.  
Place pie plate on cookie sheet.  Bake for 25 minutes and rotate.
Cook for another 20 and check. 
Mine was done in 50-55 minutes.
It is done when it stops jiggling in the middle.
As always...My oven cooks different than yours.  Check before earliest time and adjust cooking time accordingly.
