Caramel Peanut Apple Dark Chocolate Upside Down Cake

What is better than Triple Chocolate Cake with Salted Roasted Peanuts, Fresh Apples and Caramel?  Not much!  This is sooo good right out of the oven and…even better after being in the refrigerator a day or two.  Oh Wow, this is great!  Go ahead and treat your family to a new favorite!

I used my Triple Chocolate Cake using a cup of chocolate chips instead of the whole bag.  Used not quite a full bag of pudding because that is what I had left over from another recipe.  I baked it in a 10 inch springform pan instead of a bundt but it will be Beautiful in one with the caramel flowing down the sides…..  <3

Caramel Peanut Apple Dark Chocolate Cake Upside Down Cake

Triple Chocolate Cake or use one of your own
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup whipping cream, I had heavy so that is what I used
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 apples, sliced thin
1/4 to 1/2 cup salted roasted peanuts, whole or chopped

Preheat oven to 325 and grease, Homemade Cake Release, whatever pan you are using
Put brown sugar, butter and whipping cream in saucepan and heat slowly until butter is melted.
Pour in 13x9 pan, bundt pan or springform as I used.
Arrange apple slices and peanuts on caramel sauce
Spoon batter carefully of apples and peanuts
Cook until the toothpick comes out relatively clean.  Around 40 minutes but start checkin earlier in several places.
I always rotate my cakes halfway through the earliest cooking time.
It is gooey after all.  ;D
As always…My oven cooks different from you so adjust time accordingly.
Once done…Immediately flip over onto serving plate.  Let sit for 30 minutes or so.

Delicious warm and gooey or chilled from the refrigerator.  Like a luscious brownie/cake/candy treat for someone special....YOU!  Of course, I know you will share. ;D
Can serve with whipped cream and caramel sauce but not necessary.
Oh My Stars…I want to make another one!
Enjoy!  <3 and Hugs!
