It was rainy Sunday morning and after baking a loaf Whole Wheat Banana Bread, I took out a loaf of frozen bread. Not having anything particular in mind…I kept thinking about the possibilities there were given with a loaf of unbaked dough. Looking in the refrigerator made it easy to decide…a half a stick of pepperoni and low fat cheddar cheese.
Pepperoni Cheese Pulls….My Eldest Named It! :D
loaf of frozen bread, thawed
1 cup pepperoni.. grated Heat for 10 Seconds in microwave and then another 5-10 Seconds..just to heat through and release some of the grease. DO NOT COOK! Squeeze in paper towels until you have removed as much of the grease as possible.
1 cup grated cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
coarse ground garlic
spray oil
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray loaf pan.
Once dough is thawed cut into strips. Cut each strip into 3 or 4 pieces.
Stretch pieces of dough. Add a pinch of pepperoni and cheese.
Fold over, pinch. Fold under and place, seam side down, in greased loaf pan.
Finish with top layer. Spray and sprinkle with garlic once again.
Cook for 12 minutes and check. It is done when brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Do not overbrown. Mine was done in 17 minutes.
Flip out of pan and spray top with oil.
Have spaghetti or marinara sauce for dipping. My boys just ate them plain. ;D
As always…My oven cooks different from yours. Adjust times accordingly.
Enjoy! <3 and Hugs!
