Saying prayers for our service men and women...those serving our Country proudly now and those that have in the past. Thank you for keeping our lives and home safe, our freedom open and our future real.
I am putting up corn this honorable holiday. I started putting up corn yesterday...with much appreciated help from two little guys! I creamed 8 bags of corn and got busy. By the time I realized they were not put up...it was too late. ~sad~ All that work...with fingers, wrists and shoulders hurting from arthritis....
Instead of feeling disheartened, angry and downright mad...I think of the wonderful treat our pigs will have! I got up at 5 this morning and started on the corn...again. By 9 I had 9 bags in the freezer! YAY and started cutting up nectarines to freeze also. Ted went to the store to buy more corn and ice (to cool the corn), and fixing to make Ranch Potato Salad.
After frying two pans of bacon I see there is only 3 pieces on the platter. The more I cooked...the less there was! Sneaking little bacon grabbers were taking the bacon away as fast as I could cook it. So after endless frying and an empty bacon container, I am left with 4 slices of bacon. I have to hide these so I can have them for our potato salad this evening. :D
Sparkler Fun!
Do you see the cross in the top right?
