It's July and it is hot as a firecracker outside and in! I don't know who in their right mind would turn on the oven in this heat! Well, except yours truly. I had a reason behind my madness. Wanna hear it? Good....I thought so. I figured, if I turned on the oven and made this fantastic Blueberry Coffee Cake for hubby and the boys, I could get a couple of breakfast meals, or snacks, out of it.....no turning on the oven a second time! Make sense? Maybe not but it was reasonable to me. A huge plus since I, one....used up all the blueberries in the fridge that were going to go bad. And two ..... I have been wanting to make this for a long time!

I made this recipe, which is supposed to bread, but is more like pound cake, and topped it with a refreshing drizzle of lime glaze. I took it to the pool and in no time at all, it was gone! So refreshing on a hot day. Enjoy!

I made my Sour Cream Pound Cake lemony for Easter and it turned out wonderful, or so says my family. ~smile~ I was going to use real lemons but didn't have enough to use in the cake and the glaze, and went with extract instead, which worked out great. Next time I'll plan ahead and be certain to have more lemons on hand. Happy Easter and many Blessing to you and yours. I hope you enjoy the day, and this cake, with those dear to you.

I Found It! I found my recipe for my Sour Cream Pound Cake on another computer. Woo Hoo! I am going to use this to make little Lego cakes for the twins birthday next month. Trying it out anyway. This recipe is like the one my sweet Grandma would make. She sold her cakes at the curb market. Oh, how I miss her. And worse, it hurts that my boys were never able to meet such a beautiful lady. Now, I'm off to make new memories.
This recipe is old. The bundt pans today are a lot smaller than the ones of years gone by. You may need to use a loaf pan along with a bundt pan if your pan looks too full.
