My sweet boys, and their thoughtful Daddy, got me an ice cream maker for Mother’s Day! Finally, after all these years of making ice cream in the freezer, I got the ice cream maker I have dreamed of. It’s nothing fancy. It makes ice cream the “old fashion way” as my twins like to say. If it isn’t connected with a computer, that’s the category everything falls into. It’s one that you have to look all over town to find the rock salt because the place it was bought, doesn’t carry it. I love it and picture great times, sitting outside with my boys, waiting for the sweet outcome of the humming machine. I had to go to Publix to find rock salt and bought 3 boxes just so I’ll have it should there be a shortage this summer. It could happen, ya know. I would have to get the kosher salt out and try, if it did.

Honey Vanilla Ice Cream Made in the Freezer
Here is another frozen recipe of delight! We are having fun trying different flavors! I wanted to skip the granulated sugar and opted for honey instead. Such a wonderful flavor combined with vanilla!!!!
3 cups 2% milk
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 to 3/4 cup honey, your preference
1 1/2 to 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, your preference
Mix everything together well and pour in a freezer safe pan. I use stainless steel, but any freezer safe pan will do.
When ice crystals form, take out of freezer and scrap the ice cream, breaking it apart and fluffing it up.
Do this 2 to 3 more times.
Or.....
If you are gone, or forget like I do, you can break in small pieces once it is frozen, put in blender, food processor, use a mixer and mix until smooth.
Eat now or put in a freezer safe container and return to freezer until hard.
Top with your favorite toppings and Enjoy!

Frozen Lemon Cheesecake with Vanilla Sweetened Berries
To start with..I have a really bad habit of making something, taking pictures and posting them on facebook BEFORE I write a post! lol I always get caught and end up writing it right then. I hope I didn't stumble or leave out anything. Okay..now on with the show. ~smile~
It's Hot Outside!! When it's hot I want a frozen or icy cold snack, treat, dessert, well, everything! Fresh fruit is always a plus, too. Today I sweetened strawberries and blueberries and added double strength vanilla to give them that extra loving touch. <3 This pie is fast to make with long lasting delight. I really like this because I made it lower in fat and delicious to boot! You are going to have to make this ahead of time so make plans accordingly. After 4 hours in the freezer the boys wanted a piece. It wasn't completely frozen but still very cold. At 6 hours it was just right! Are you ready to make smiles? Then get started! <3 and hugs!

Vanilla Ice
My Boys always love ice cream, so do I, but we don't own an ice cream maker. I started off making single servings of Ice Cream In A Bag. Then decided I needed to make more. The boys arms would get tired of shaking the bag and I would do all the shaking for them. A little work out for ice cream...good trade out. :D
I have been making Watermelon Ice, Cantaloupe Ice and Frozen Creamy Peaches. Yesterday, everyone wanted ice cream and I came up with Vanilla Ice. My Boys LOVED it and would have eaten every bit of it had I let them. :D It is little sparkles of Vanilla that make you smile. Now please excuse us as we go eat more of these vanilla sparkles.
Make this in the morning for a delicious afternoon frozen treat. I hope you enjoy it!
