Lego Gummies For My Twins Birthday

My boys are turning 6!  Where does the time go?  I have no idea.  It's bittersweet .. I miss the cuddles of newborn babes in my arms.  Giving thanks for the many blessing in my life, these two little miracles and their older brother.  I wonder what the precious little faces looking up at me will become...anxious to see my boys grow and revel in the strength they show in all aspects.  They are becoming wonderful young boys as I treasure each day and tuck away the precious memories of them year by year.

I wanted to make these two special boys something +LEGO  for their birthday celebration.

Ants On A Leaf

Before school this morning one of the little ones desperately wanted to make something.  First, he poured a water in a bowl...added cereal...raisins and was looking for something else when I asked what he was making.  He said he didn't know...just wanted to make something.  He decided he should try something else.

He asks me to get the peanut butter, then asked if we had lettuce, once he found out all the celery had been used,  while he went to get raisins.  I washed and gave him lettuce leaves, the peanut butter and a child's knife.  He assembled his goods on the table...then his twin walks in.  Together they made "Ants On A Leaf!"  They were so proud of themselves for thinking this up and making it all by themselves!  Of course, once the peanut butter was spread...the "ants" had to walk to the leaf.  ~big smile~  <3 and Hugs

Putting the bait down to catch the ants!
 Ants taking a walk!
 All in a row!
Oh Wait....Brother is walking another ant over!
 There you go!  YUMMY!
We seem to have a lot of ants in our house!
 Maybe a few more.....
 All Done!

YUM!  Want some?

Pizza Slices

Time for more fun!  Today, for lunch, we made Pizza Slices.  My Boys have such a great time making these delicious and fun pizza slices.  We hope you do too!  ~hugs~

Pizza Slices

1 tube Cresent Rolls
Pizza or Spaghetti Sauce
4 String Cheese
Toppings of your choice

My oven cooks at a high temperature.  The cresent roll tube said to preheat to 375 degrees...I am cooking at 325 degrees.   You know your oven...set it just like you would when cooking these without the fun on top.  :D

Unroll and arrange wedges on two cookie sheets.   I lined mine with parchment paper, you don't have to.
Now, the fun begins!  My Boys put the spaghetti sauce on top of the wedges, over and beyond.  ~smiles~  They then pull apart the string cheese.  You can use already grated cheese but this adds more hands on fun.
Put the cheese on and you choice of toppings.
I cooked mine for half the time stated.  Then turned the broiler on low just to heat up the cheese more for, 30 seconds to 1 minute keeping a watch on the slices with the door open.
Please note, the cheese will not melt like grated cheese.

For dessert you may want to buy another tube of cresent rolls and make these also,  Red, White and Blueberries

My Boys were so proud of the pizza slices they made.  <3

Things got a little messy.  ~smiles~

Getting toppings to add.

Adding black olives...what was left of them that is.  ~big grin~

The Twins creations right before going in the oven.  <3
