Recipes For My Boys: Toasterwich

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Instead of buying pop tarts, we make our own version at home.  We put everything in them that you can imagine.  PB&J, Pie Filling, sliced turkey, bacon, ham and cheese.  Today...I put a fried egg in mine!  These are fun and easy to make and eat!  Who doesn't like to eat with your hands once in a while?  Hope you like them as much as we do.  <3 and Hugs!

Fried Egg Toasterwich
Even number slices of bread with crust trimmed
Whatever you want to put inside.

Trim bread of crust.
Put your filling on one slice of bread.

Top with the other slice of bread.
With a fork, go around your toastwich, pressing bread together to seal.

You may need a little butter or mayo on the inside to help it seal.

Place in toaster on light setting.
I always unplug the toaster if I need help getting the toastwich out with a utensil.

Enjoy!  <3 and Hugs!
